Brown Paper Wood Frame Tutorial

How to make a set of three shabby chic, hand stamped frames.

Love these mustard yellow frames!

Find three frames. I enjoy discount stores and occasionally the Dollar Tree will have great all-wood frames. Great for painting!
Supplies:
3 frames
Stamp
Any type of paint. I prefer acrylic paint. Sold in many colors at hobby stores
(white and 1 color)
Scissors

Golden Straw - mustard yellow
Wicket White
(I used what I had in my craft closet)

Brown Postal Paper OR Brown Paper Sack
(sold at Wal-Mart, Hobby stores, occasionally the Dollar Tree)

Paint wood white - serves as a primer for lighter colors

I like painting the backs for display purposes.

Cut brown paper to sizes of frames

Stamp brown paper in the center

Ready to go!

Final Step: Sand lightly to your desired finish. Spray with an Acrylic Sealant. Krylon is a great brand. Sold at Wal-Mart and most hobby stores.

I love these! I ended up selling this set in Our Shop. I think I'll be making a new set for my living room!
You could also do holiday stamps and change up your decor around the holidays!
